Poker Player's Birthday Card

This is the card I made for Douglas for his birthday. He loves playing poker and thought this was just very appropriate for him. One of my friends gave me the backing paper and the decoupage. Searched for brads for it and was delighted with these one.s Picture isnt very good though.

Forever Friends Birthday Card

This card was made for one of my bestest friends. I took the ribbon off it before I posted it as I didnt think it did anything for the card.

Back At Last

I havent been able to post on my blog for months now - almost 6 months. I have been having problems with my PC and it wouldnt let me upload photos to my blog. I now have a new one and hope to rectify this. Although I must admit that I havent been doing a lot of crafting lately either.

I made this card for one of the women at work who was celebrating her 40th birthday.

As Valentine's Day is approaching, I thought I had better get around to making one. Wasnt sure what to make, but got my Craft Creations magazine and saw some nice prints and decided to make one with the prints I had bought.

When I was looking for my decoupage prints, I came across a Christmas one. So decided to make this one up. So I can honestly say that I have now made my first Christmas card for 2009. Think I will try to make a couple every month and then there wont be so many to make when I need to make them.
Havent had a lot of time to craft recently with one thing and another. My external hard disk has decided not to work, so have lost nearly all my crafting stuff. Had a few cards to make this week. One was a sympathy card. My ex boss David's mum died last Saturday. It has taken me a couple of days to make it as I dont like making sympathy cards. Decided to make it a thinking of you card. His mum was quite a famous painter in Scotland and was very talented. She was 86. It's always a sad time when someone passes away. You feel so helpless.

Had a busy week this week so not had a chance to craft. Started a training course for 13 weeks on Monday so have been tired too. Last night it was my friend Andrew's 10th anniversary of him being in business. I was with him the first night he was doing a Business Plan and worked all week with him after work so that he could go to the bank with it. I have been a firm supporter during all of this time and I am so pleased that it has all worked out.

The theme for the party/dinner was James Bond. The room was all done up with balloons in the shape of diamonds, clubs, hearts and spades with the same type of confetti on the tables. On each table there were dice with the name of the company on and for each guest there was a gift. I had arrived early and helped set it all up with him and a few others. Andrew is a perfectionist and the plan for last night had been going for about 6 months. He had a Shirley Bassey lookalike performing during the dinner and she was fantastic.
There were also some casino tables set out where everyone could play roulette or black jack after dinner. It was a fantastic night. The food and drink was free all night. He had a raffle organised which was in aid of Cancer Research. There were fabulous prizes almost all of them themed around James Bond. Just over £1,000 was raised on the night which was a fantastic amount. Everyone enjoyed themselves and I think a few of the people had no idea what they were coming to.

Well have been crafting today. Sent a birthday card to one of my forum friends for her birthday at the beginning of December. Unfortunately she was off line for a couple of weeks so didnt realise that she didnt get it till just before Christmas. I have made her a calendar to replace it instead. I also made another one while I was in the calendar making mood.
